Created to Create

Drawing, painting, and sculpting have been a passion since childhood. After high school I began college studies majoring in Biology, having grown up on a small farm in rural Maine, loving nature and influenced by parents in the medical field. However, I soon changed majors to embrace my passion for creative expression, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts / Studio Art in 1985.

It has been an exciting journey discovering new mediums to work out creative ideas.  On a two-dimensional surface, I find expression in Oil, Acrylic & watercolor media, flowing out of my relationship with God and love for Him and His creation. With skills I have developed in metalsmithing, I am able to create three-dimensional art – minimal, modern and organic designs in Sterling Silver, Gold, Brass and Copper. The possibilities are endless through cutting, hammering, texturing, sculpting and patinas.

As an artist and artisan, creating new paintings and jewelry designs is such a joy !  I am so grateful to God for the gifts and talents to create beautiful things that bless others.

“Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your glory to their children.
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:16-17

My Personal Testimony:

In 1986, after years of soul searching, a desire to know Truth and a deep longing to know why I existed, I met the Master Artist / Creator Himself.  On July 21,1986 while traveling through Europe for 3 months, I gave my life to Jesus Christ (in Edinborough, Scotland), and He forgave my sin, and set me free from guilt, shame and the heavy burden I carried from things I had done, as well as relationships that had torn me. The One Who had created me began to heal my heart and broken life as I yielded myself to Him, spending time with Him and in His Word. He also asked me to surrender my gifts and talents to Him, since being an “artist” was my sole identity. Over the years, my relationship with Him continues to grow and deepen as I put my faith and trust in Him and allow Him to be the center of my life. My identity is now found in Him, and not in the “gift” itself. How freeing to have a relationship with My Creator God and Father and to discover who I am as a child of God through His Son Jesus Christ; to have a true eternal purpose in all that I do…

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

Romans 10: 9-10, “…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ”

If you have any questions or comments I would love to hear from you !
